The only way it calms down is if he has the blood of the one he is crushing on/in a relationship with.The second wave causes him to get very needy and is completely insatiable though being close to his crush/partner will help ease it and just make him really clingy.

Spike died 300 years ago at the ripe age of 19. Poor thing found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time, he ended up being brutally murdered. In the right lighting and if you look close enough you can see a scar that spans around his entire neck, a scar on each arm that wraps around just below the elbow and the same at his knees. When he died, he didn’t immediately go to heaven like you think you would. With how sudden and brutal his death was, he was left floating over his own dead body as he watched his murderers laughing and toying with his lifeless body. So he’s a little traumatised by it. He has flashback nightmares when he sleeps so he tries to avoid sleep as best he can and sometimes he can have random flashbacks while awake.He was quite shocked to find himself in heaven when he did eventually leave the earth plane as he was a bit of a troublemaker when alive. You name it, he’s probably done it. So for him to end up in heaven, he was sure there was a mistake but went with it anyway.Spike wasted a lot of his time on Earth, even though it was frowned upon. He truly loved to sin and that continued as an angel. A lot of his time wandering earth was spent in the clubs, always finding someone to go home with. Eventually, it all caught up to him and he was expelled and thus became a fallen angel.He didn’t spend a lot of time in hell like he should have been, working on his abilities or letting his fangs grow so he isn’t the most powerful fallen angel as he only managed to develop two abilities though his pyrokinesis ability is rather weak. His fangs didn’t develop properly either so he has random teething spurts.Spike soon met Absinthe & Sin. He was closer to Sin then he was Absinthe since Sin was the darker one and took Spike under his wing. He learnt a lot of his antics from Sin and Sin treats Spike like a little brother. He’s very protective of him so if you hurt Spike you’d better watch out. The team is not excluded from this either, Sin will hunt his own family down for getting Spike hurt.
